The Frame name

Four brothers built Frame around a simple idea: take ownership of the work, explain it plainly, and leave people with a result they can understand. Frame Restoration Idaho carries that idea into every roof conversation across the Panhandle.

Where Frame started
Before there was a company
The Frame brothers grew up in a home where work was not something you automatically handed to somebody else. As boys, they took on projects well beyond the usual weekend chores—including landscaping their family's one-acre property by hand. It was physical work, shared work, and work they could see at the end of the day.
They entered the roofing trade in 2010 and founded Frame Restoration in 2016. The company was bootstrapped and built job by job. The early lesson stayed useful: be disciplined about the details, take responsibility for the result, and communicate clearly enough that the customer is never guessing where things stand.
The company has grown since then. The standard has not become more complicated. Good work still begins with an honest look at the problem and ends with dependable follow-through.
Why North Idaho is different
A Panhandle roof is never just a square count
A roof on a shaded lot near Lake Pend Oreille does not behave exactly like a roof in an open subdivision. Snow can stay longer on one plane. Wind can push water at a ridge or sidewall. Trees can hold moisture and debris where the sun reaches late.
Those conditions are context—not a diagnosis. The recommendation still has to come from the installed material, roof shape, flashing, valleys, eaves, ventilation, drainage, attic clues, access, and the history of the problem.
Frame Restoration Idaho is based in Sandpoint. Tyler Chapman and the Idaho team serve homeowners across Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties. The goal is not to force every roof into the same answer. It is to make the right answer clear for that home.
The Frame standard
What good roofing work should feel like
No mystery scope. No weather buzzwords used as a substitute for evidence. No larger recommendation without a reason you can see and understand.
Start with the problem
We ask what changed, when it shows up, what has already been tried, and what the homeowner needs to decide. A leak, an aging roof, and a planned remodel are different conversations.
Name what is known
The roof covering, flashing, penetrations, valleys, eaves, ventilation, drainage, attic clues, and prior repairs all matter. Concealed conditions stay labeled as concealed until the work exposes them.
Make the scope readable
The estimate should say what is being repaired or replaced, what material and details are included, what assumptions remain, and how a change would be handled. You should be able to compare it without decoding it.
Build for the property
Material choice is only one part of the roof. Slope, snow movement, shade, lake exposure, tree debris, access, drainage, and manufacturer requirements shape the work on a North Idaho home.
Leave a clean handoff
A finished job includes the less-visible work: property protection, cleanup, a final review, and a clear explanation of anything the homeowner should watch or maintain next.
